Spanish Lessons in Sydney: Raquel MartinRaquel was born in Madrid (Spain), although she speaks and teaches Spanish with a strong Latin influence due to her extensive interaction with the Latin American community. She has great interest in languages, specially in her native one, Spanish, which she loves to teach.
She moved to the United States in 1999, where she began her career as a Spanish teacher at the main language academy in Washington D.C., Spanish Black Belt. Later, she became an independent Spanish teacher, teaching general Spanish and Spanish for specific purposes in corporations, schools, government agencies, as well as to small and medium size groups and to individual students. Some of her clients include: The Court of Maryland, Service Employees International Labor Union, Hilton Hotel, Marcor Environmental, and Passport To Learning community of learners.
Raquel was a volunteer English teacher at the Hispanic Apostolate in Baltimore, where she taught English to the large Hispanic community living and working there.
Raquel holds a bachelor degree in business and a master degree in linguistics applied to teaching Spanish as a second language from the university of Jaen (Spain).
She lives and teaches Spanish in Lane Cove (NSW) since December 2008.
